Román Bordon
Baritone

Previous studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Canarias and the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid. Román was selected for the Crescendo program of the Fundación Amigos del Teatro Real de Madrid.

Performance credits include appearances at Teatro Real de Madrid, Teatro de la Maestranza, Real Teatro de Retiro, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, working with conductors and directors such as Karel Mark Chichon, Rubén Fernández, Rubén Sánchez-Vieco, Mariano Rivas, Alejandro Muñoz, Nikoleta Popova, Ignacio Rodríguez, Rita Cosentino.

Román has been awarded the Excellence Scholarship from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (2024), the Audience Award, and the Compañía Mexicana de Zarzuela Prize at the International Zarzuela Competition of Valleseco (2024). He has also received scholarships from the Asociación Wagneriana de Madrid (2023) and the Accademia Nazionale di Belcanto Italiano (2022). Additionally, he has won prizes at the International Singing Competition of Teror, the International Singing Competition “Un Futuro DEARTE”, and the International Lied Competition of Albox.

Repertoire at the DNOA include Melibeo in Haydn’s La Fedeltá Premiata and Tobias Mill in Rossini’s La Cambiale di Matrimonio.
