Pavel Zelenev
Baritone

Previous studies at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg Conservatory. He is a laureate of several international competitions, including the N. Okhotnikov Competition (2022), the Romansiada Competition (2023), and the Star Rhapsody  Competition (2022) in St. Petersburg.

Performance credits include soloist at the Chuvash State Opera and Ballet Theater, with opera repertoire including Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (title role) and The Queen of Spades (Count Tomsky). n November 2024, Pavel made his debut as Marcello in Puccini’s La bohème in Warmond, Netherlands in November 2024 and sang the role of Marco in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the Trentino Summer Festival in July 2025.

Repertoire at the DNOA includes Haydn La fedeltà premiata (Perrucchetto), Rossini La cambiale di matrimonio (Slook), Weill Die Sieben Todsünden (Der Vater), Ullmann Der Kaiser von Atlantis (Der Kaiser), the European premiere of Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg’s Nighttown (Mentes/ Blazes Boylan), and the Forrester in Leoš Janáček’s  Příhody lišky Bystroušky (The Cunning Little Vixen).

Pavel’s studies at the DNOA are supported by the 2024 NL Scholarship, a Dutch government scholarship for talented students from outside Europe, and the prestigious AHK Talent Grant 2025/26.
